Our founder

Marvice had built a successful career in the corporate world when she realized just how much her health and wellbeing benefited from regular spa visits. She found that when she was happier looking in the mirror, it translated to confidence in all areas of her life.

Marvice was inspired to share these same benefits with more professional women, helping them learn to age with grace and confidence and take pride in their natural beauty.

She graduated from John Casablanca Institute in 2013 with a Diploma of Body Spa & Esthetics. In 2017, Marvice became a registered aromatherapist, expanding LUMIÈRE’s spa services to include full body aromatherapy massage. A respected facialist and esthetician, Marvice is known across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland for her caring and honest manner. She takes a holistic approach and believes in whole-body healing from the inside out with a focus on acne, anti-aging and aromatherapy.

Marvice was no stranger to taking risks when she founded LUMIÈRE. The daring entrepreneur, who pivoted her entire career in her early 40s, first re-started from scratch when she immigrated to Canada after meeting her ex-pat husband in Hong Kong. She embraces that same all-in approach to most things in life — from her love of travel and new adventures to her support of animal rescues.

Marvice believes that a commitment to her clients means a commitment to lifelong learning and education.
